hi I’m Caitlin

(she/her)

move from ‘more’ to
enough

This isn’t how you thought life would go.

You envisioned yourself doing more of what you love.

Now the only ‘more’ that you have is more anxiety.

More self-doubt.

And more shame about how your life has turned out.

It’s like you missed a step and you’re behind where you want to be.

What if instead of ‘more’ you could build your life around enough?

Feeling good enough to pursue that job? Believing you’re enough to put yourself out there—in the super, vulnerable raw way—with potential partners or with you current partner?

Knowing that who you are and how you show up in the world is enough.

Going to bed certain in your “enoughness” even if you didn’t cross off every damn item on your to-to list.

Sounds good right? Like really good! Almost so good you’re not sure it’s possible.

But, we’re not talking about perfection or Happily Ever After here—both impossible and kind of boring, honestly—but good enough!

Good enough as you are. Certain of your value that not your review at work (or your sink full of dirty dishes) can shake your sense of worthiness.

It’s not just possible, it’s the necessary work of modern life.

You don’t need to be more of anything.

Who you are is enough.

I’m here to help you make the shift from more to enough.

life is hard, y’all

I know that and I know you know it too.

In my early 20s, I lost myself.

I was working a full-time-plus-then some job, dealing with family stress, and paralyzed with anxiety.

I knew I needed help digging my life out of the tiny hole I felt stuck in.

I was scared to start therapy. But, I was more scared that my life would remain the same.

Therapy expanded my life—it expanded my worldview, the way I viewed myself, and gave me the tools to create a rich, meaningful life.

You deserve a rich, meaningful life too.

Therapy isn’t magic. It can be hard work.

You know hard work though.

You’ve made it this far in your life after all, but you don’t have to go it alone any further.

I’ll walk alongside you as you put the past to rest and embrace a more vibrant and connected future.

together we can transform

anxiety

It could be a tightness in your chest or thoughts that you can’t shake. However anxiety manifests in your life, it’s taking up too much space. It bends your life around it and keeps you from living life on your own terms.

You desperately want relief. So you end up avoiding people, places, even your own thoughts. But that relief is only temporary. Anxiety comes roaring back, worse than before.

Life without anxiety isn’t possible. But a full life with anxiety is! I’ll help you shift your relationship with anxiety, so that anxiety isn’t getting in the way of living the life that you long for.

self-doubt

You second guess yourself constantly. You never give yourself credit, and you’re always apologize, sometimes it even seems for existing!

You wish for the confidence you see in others. You want to just do the damn thing you put your mind to.

I’ll help you recognize and rediscover your strengths. You’ll learn to appreciate the unique way you walk through the world, and you’ll understand yourself more fully.

shame

Shame whispers to us that we should hide. Shame says to deny or cut off parts of ourselves. That who we are, as we are, is not good enough. That belonging requires us to change who we are or how we are.

Together, we’ll shine a light on shame. You’ll learn to accept the parts of yourself that once inspired shame and how to harness the power of self-compassion.

foundations of my work

trauma-informed

Being trauma-informed means I recognize that our pasts are always present.

Our histories impacts the way we see and interact with the world.

From a trauma-informed perspective, I work to partner and collaborate with you, creating a space full of choices and grounded in safety. I will continue to check in with you about our work together and be open to feedback.

queer & trans-affirming

As a queer woman, I understand how difficult it is to find competent and affirming providers. I know that there exists a wide gulf between someone “tolerating” us versus accepting and embracing our unique ways of being in the world.

Therapy is the last place anyone should feel judged or othered.

You won’t have to explain your identity/pronouns.

You won’t need to take time out of the session to educate me.

The queer experience is vast and as a cis woman, I can’t claim to know it all.

But I can promise that I will always respect you, your identity, and the way you chose to move through the world.

The world is so much brighter because you are in it and I promise to be a soft place for you to land and be vulnerable.

social justice, anti-racist, anti-oppression, liberatory framework

I recognize the harm that white supremacy has done to black and brown folx and the planet. I believe that not only do black lives matter, BIPOC experiences must be centered.

I am committed to advancing a more equitable and just world. This means that I am working to unlearn white supremacy and be actively anti-racist and decolonial.

I honor and affirm indigenous, ancestral, and cultural knowledge and ways of healing.

This is ongoing and unending work.
